Here is a culmination of printed artwork created in various mediums, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, and Adobe Fresco. I love to mix the digital and physical space to create exciting pieces like the skier brought to life on a Christmas card using AR with Adobe Aero or a Spotify playlist turned physical on cardstock, which can be scanned to play on Sonos throughout the house.
A new challenge I've taken on is learning to fly fish; I still haven't caught something, but I love the adventure and the feeling of standing in the middle of a river. Through this passion, I was fortunate enough to get connected with Colter Backcountry and design merch to build brand awareness for their minimalist fly fishing packs. So far, I have designed two shirts and 3 stickers, but there is more to come!
Innovega has spent the past decade developing and creating patents for cutting-edge AR/VR eyewear. In 2022, the prototypes were complete and ready to test with investors, but they needed demo videos to illustrate the power of the eyewear. Innovega hired me to create a demo experience for each of their three eyewear prototypes, a full-screen "Entertainment Demo," a smaller "Glanceable Demo" and OLED reflected "Transparent Demo". I created a visual identity and UI for the Innovega eyewear suite. I then developed the scenarios each eyewear would present to show its strength and designed the 3D motion graphics for each video.
As the first in-house Brand Designer, I refreshed and built out the Unearth brand guidelines, color palettes, and templates for documentation and decks. Working closely with multiple departs, I created a design standard that empowered teams to develop assets consistent with the brand.
A 2022 Q1 goal at Unearth was to create a unique conference booth experience that stood out from the crowd of 10x10 booths. Based on sales feedback and page conversions, I accomplished that goal. I designed the booth background, banners, swag, and collateral. The most significant pieces were the phone cards and the Hologram display that brought attendees in from across the showroom.
This project is about letting creativity flow and making art for FUN. Beyond the sketch is a growing page of personal illustration projects that have come straight from my sketchbook.
Inbound collateral is my bread and butter. I love to work with content creators and editors to bring a typical document into a high-performing, beautiful piece of content that delivers on company objectives. After a kickoff meeting and the final copy is passed, I design an initial layout, adding paragraph and character styles. I then see areas I can add iconography, and I'll begin sketching and then creating the illustrations in illustrator. Before building the final version, I'll present a few different layouts to the team.
About six months into my time at Unearth, I took full ownership of the website after I had built out the company style guide and brand system. Initially built in Hexo, the team decided to rebuild the website in Webflow, a no-code customization tool. The process with the Webflow developer took longer than expected, and the final deliverable was a mess. Due to that, I created a three-month sprint to update classes, messaging, screenshots, and website branding. I designed 30 new product mockups, 50 icons, and 20 3D illustrations. The website continued to evolve in 2022, improving styling, animation, and page optimization.
I created a brand design for the iconic 1955 300 SL. This car is known as the world's first "Sports Car" with its gullwing doors and a top speed of 155 mph. The car owner was auctioning it off at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, and I was hired to create branded swag to generate buzz and excitement for this extremely rare car. I designed posters, shirts, and hats, which were distributed to the show attendees. The 300 SL was the leading car of the show and sold for 1.87 million.
Maui CBD approached me to create three flyers that told the brand story, product differentiation, and information on franchising the product. Without a brand style guide or press kit, I researched and gathered information about Maui CBD to write the three flyers. I then designed and created the flyers choosing a primary font to compliment the Hawaiian style and choosing a gold metallic Pantone, adding luxury to the brand. I worked with a local print shop, picked the paper, and printed 6,000 for multiple conferences and in-store.
Starting in January of 2022, I took a 12-week advanced 3D motion course through the School of Motion. I leveled my skills in lighting, texturing, rendering, modeling, and animation each week. Here are a few highlights of my work.
Worked as a Graphic Designer on the in-house creative team at Pushpay. I was part of two large rebrands and three user conferences hosted nationwide. I grew substantially as a designer over three years at Pushpay and experienced how to scale design at a fast-growing fintech startup.
With an updated market solution, a rebrand, and a robust list of new features, Unearth needed product video to encapsulate broadly what the platform does and who it is made for. I took full ownership of the project by working with the editor to storyboard and create a script, capture screen recordings, create 3D motion design graphics, hire a voice-over actor, and video edit.
After starting visual design courses at Interaction Design Foundation, I put my learning into action by creating a prototype app from inception to final design through empathy research, prototyping, ideation, and UX design principles. The mobile application is called Birdie Bets, and it solves the problem of managing games, bets, and scoring out on the golf course.
